Learning Commons

Welcome to Murdoch's Learning Commons!

This is a place where students can access the resources they need to support their learning. Books, digital resources, computers, and more are all available to students and staff. If you have questions or need help finding a resource please contact Mrs. Jenn Crawford, the Learning Commons Facilitator. Contact by phone at 403-946-5665.

The LC, also known as the Learning Commons, offers literacy support by providing a safe and supportive environment with physical and virtual spaces that engages students to ask questions and make new discoveries about the world around them.

The LC is here to support the research and learning needs of students as well as to provide opportunities to develop a lifelong love of reading.

The schools WeConnect program runs out of the Learning Commons. WeConnect is a program where high school students can access courses we do not offer in the school or that can not fit their time table. These courses are offered through the online school (Summit Trails High School) and taught asynchronously so that they can be fit into anytime table. The WeConnect coordinator supervises the room and helps the students trouble shoot issues around course work and technology.

LC Staff

The Learning Commons Facilitator, Mrs. Jennifer Crawford, and the School Computer Technician, Mr. Jager Poffenroth, are part of the school's specialized staff who support students and staff.
